Inspections

Drop images are organized into inspections. An inspection, which you can think of as an imaging session, is a collection of drop images that were taken at a specific time. For example, if an experiment's plates are scheduled to be imaged on a weekly basis, a new inspection will be created each week when imaging occurs.

If you are using an automatic imaging system with Rock Maker, inspections will be created automatically. If you are using an imaging system that does not integrate with Rock Maker, you can create inspections manually and then add your own images to the inspections.

When Rock Maker is in the Images view, the drop images that you see on the Canvas Tab, Well tab and Drop tab are from the currently selected inspection. Rock Maker provides two ways to select a different inspection to view; you can also use keyboard shortcuts.
